Our approach to team effectiveness at BlueDrop is to address the fundamentals of alignment, dynamic and relationship. We help teams reflect on the unique role that can only be achieved as a team and the mandate that the organization is counting on the team to deliver. Once the role of the team is clear and team members are aligned around a common mandate, we help the team to envision how they will operate as a high performing team delivering on its mandate. The team then creates ground rules for how they will behave to fulfill their mandate.

With a clear set of agreements on how they aspire to operate, the team focuses on identifying and understanding the current team dynamics that enable and inhibit their ability to operate as the high performing team that they have defined. We use leadership and team assessments to generate insights about individual working styles and their implications for team performance. Insights into team dynamics enable the team to identify strengths to leverage more fully and the key shifts in behaviour needed for high performance.

To create sustainable shifts in individual behaviour and team dynamics, we work with leaders to build awareness of the mindsets and underlying drivers, or needs, that keep default – and often unproductive – ways of operating in place. Over 18 months, Lanja provided ongoing team and executive coaching to increase the team’s effectiveness and set the firm up for future growth.
